Nice summarizing article by Tracy Lien over at Polygon. Reading it, however, I feel like we didn't focus enough on the practical solutions we have for enacting change. Wish we'd had more time to talk. Oh well. Maybe next year.
This new Murdered trailer features new information about Ronan's death and writing by yours truly. I swear it's better in context.
Airtight finally updated our website with information about Murdered.
Here's the official summary of the game:
Not bad. Next step: make the website iOS compatible. XD
I'm going to make one big post for the initial press on our game. For the most part, the reviews are good.
Some reviewers are excited about the IP, but wary because Airtight Games is the developer. They are basing this concern our Airtight's past performance, not on the work being produced by the current team. It's a shame, because Airtight went to a lot of trouble to woo talent from other companies. The design team alone has years of experience on titles like Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Infamous, War in the North, and so many more. I hope people can look past their perception of the company and judge our game experience on its own merits.
At last, at last, at long last, my current game project is public! Murdered: Soul Suspect. It's such a relief to finally be able to talk about this. Square Enix did a soft announce. First, they teased the game with this video back in February:
The reception was kinda lukewarm. Mostly a lot of WTF responses. It was disheartenng stuff to read as we slogged our way through crunch. People didn't like Ronan. They hated the name. (Which, to be fair, wasn't the writing team's first choice. We wanted to call it Deadtective, but for some reason nobody took that title seriously. Go figure.)
But then, Square released a longer trailer a few days ago as the official announcement:
The reception to this video has been MUCH better. Now we just have to deliver.
